Andre 3000 and Big Boi of the hip-hop duo Outkast star in this uproarious period piece, a comedy-drama-musical-action film set in Prohibition-era Virginia. Patton plays Rooster, the lead singer at a raucous, classy all-black club called Church. Benjamin plays Percival, his best friend, who is the piano player at the club and the shy son of a funeral parlour owner (played by Ben Vereen). Terrence Howard (HUSTLE AND FLOW) provides the menace as Trumpy, a vicious underling of Rooster's bootlegger father (Ving Rhames). Meanwhile, a beautiful singer (Paula Patton) comes to town and Percival finds himself falling in love-much to his terror, as he's afraid to leave the small community of Idlewild for Chicago, her next stop. As Rooster prepares for a showdown with Trumpy, Percival faces his fears, the band heats up, and the guns and songs come out for a big final night at the Church. This is clearly a labour of love for writer/director Bryan Barber and the Outkast crew: a colour-saturated adrenalin rush with witty dialogue, loving attention to period detail, boisterous and athletic dancing, and lots of eye-popping digital animation. Starring: Robert Powell, Fiona Walker. Directed by: Hugh David. Robert Powell stars as Jude Fawley in this faithful and uncompromising BBC adaptation of one of Thomas Hardy's most bitter and controversial novels. Born into rural poverty, young Jude Fawley refuses to accept his lot in life. He dreams of the nearby spires of Christmininster. He longs to attend its great universities and better himself in its hallowed halls. But Victorian England is a society in which everyone has their place - and Jude's place is to labour and toil for his betters. As one by one his dreams are shattered, Jude lashes out at the world around him and - in his bitter confusion - his life begins to spiral out of his own control. With a distinguished supporting cast that includes Fiona Walker, Mark Praid and Sylvia Coleridge, Jude The Obscure is a searing indictment of Victorian England and its cruel inequalities.

Located in beautiful downtown Saugatuck, Michigan, Chequers is a British Pub offering favorite English menu items such as our famous Fish & Chips and Shepherd's Pie. We also feature a vast and varied selection of imported beers. The chef creates wonderful specials daily!Chequers is the official country residence of the Prime Ministers of Great Britain, a distinction it has enjoyed since 1917 when Lord Lee of Fareham, a former Member of Parliament bequeathed the estate to the nation. Chequers is a typical Tudor mansion surrounded by 1250 acres of woods and parkland. It lies among the Chillern Hills in the County of Buckinghamshire, some forty miles west of London. The Chequers estate has a history stretching back nine hundred years to the time of the "Doomsday Book". The estate passed in the hands of the family of Oliver Cromwell, and his descendants remained owners of the property until 1909 when it was purchased by Lord Lee and his wife. During their residence at Chequers, Lord and Lady Lee devoted much time and energy in restoring the house. The Long Gallery on the first floor is the finest example of this work of restoration. Among the treasures in the house are letters written by Oliver Cromwell, Napoleon, the poet Robert Browning, and the ring worn by Queen Elizabeth I. The portrait of Lady Mary Grey by the Dutch artist Hans Esworth, dated 1751, is the oldest painting in the house. Lady Mary, who was this sister of the ill-fated Lady Jane Grey, was herself imprisoned in the house for two years as a punishment for marrying without Queen Elizabeth's permission. The first prime minister to enjoy Chequers was David-Lloyd George, and since then, most Prime Ministers - Ramsey Mac Donald, the first Labour Prime Minister, Stanley Baldwin and Neville Chamberlain among them - have stayed there. Sir Winston Churchill stayed there frequently during the war years as the house was safer than No. 10 Downing Stree
