Malcolm Muggeridge was one of Great Britain's most well-known journalists and television personalities, having interviewed practically every major public figure of his time. He shocked the world with his conversion to Christianity later in life. ???St. Mugg???, as he was affectionately known, was clear in his new-found faith: ???It is the truth that has died, not God, ??? and ???Jesus was God or he was nothing.??? These wonderful selections of Muggeridge's writings and speeches cover a wide variety of spiritual themes, revealing his profound faith, great wit, and lively writing style. Topics include ???Jesus: The Man Who Lives???, ???Is There a God????, ???The Prospect of Death???, ???Do We Need Religion????, ???Peace and Power???, and many more. '???The counter-countercultural declaration of Mr. Muggeridge's conversion was especially eye-catching given the great legions traveling in the opposite direction. His larger public knew him through his work as a television host and critic. But all of literate England, and much of America, knew him as a learned and incisive journalist who had written Winter in Moscow, a searing exposo of Communism. His intellect and historical savoir-faire gave his criticisms a very long reach. In America he made regular appearances as book editor of Esquire magazine. No Englishman has a more mordant, more attractive wit.??? "William F. Buckley, Jr. From the Introduction '

Saren Newcastle is a mature, totally independent journalist-she thinks. During a three-day interview assignment in the Kenai region of Alaska, she changes her heart and mind about her empty kind of independence. There, she encounters Gordon Sommers, a reclusive Englishman with a terrible secret in his past. The rustic Alaskan setting presents an array of difficulties for her, a native Texan and "city girl." Taken out of her comfort zone she realizes that she had been living with a false sense of security all along. Sommers' witnessing words and ways break through her wall of defensiveness. A series of mild mishaps teaches her to put her total trust in God rather than in her own knowledge. Finally, she discovers Sommers' secret and helps him to reconcile with his tragic past. Included in the back of the book are three recipes: Rubio's Enchiladas Verdes, Spinach Lasaga 101, and Sommers' Potato and Look Soup.

One of our most popular teas is Earl Grey, a black tea scented with bergamot, an oil extracted from a pear-shaped Mediterranean citrus about the size of an orange.Story has it that in 1830 Englishman Charles Earl Grey (the second Earl Grey, 1764-1845) was on a diplomatic mission to China, when a mandarin presented him with the recipe for making this distinctive tea Now it is the most famous scented tea in the Western world Earl Grey brews up a beautiful amber cup with a distinctive flavor and lightly fragrant aroma. The tea leaves in Earl Grey are usually a blend of Chinese black or Indian Darjeeling teas Stash uses superior grades of Ceylon black tea from Sri Lanka and black teas from China for our Earl Grey We strive for a distinctive tea flavor that is not overwhelmed by the pungent citrus, and we use only 100% pure bergamot oil, not a mixture. While other citrus fruits are grown in many countries, bergamot is cultivated exclusively in a narrow strip of coastal land in the Reggio Calabria province of Southern Italy Bergamot or Citrus Bergamia Risso, also called the "prince's pear", is inedible, but its precious and fragrant oil is an ingredient in both perfume and food products.Bergamot is hand-picked in winter when the fruit is not quite ripe The bergamot essence is extracted by a cold-pressed method using special "peeling" machines The fragrant cold-pressed oil is then stored in special containers for a year or longer before sale.Stash Earl Grey is a versatile tea, at its best in the afternoon or after dinner Delicious and flavorful plain, Stash Earl Grey also may be served with sugar and milk Plus it makes a wonderful, refreshing iced tea.

ITC Bodoni Brush is a fanciful design suitable for publicity posters and other designs requiring instant impact. It was released in 1996 and was designed by Englishman John Viner. Viner learned the craft of brush lettering during the late 1940’s while he was working at a firm that produced posters for the Gaumont and Odeon cinema circuits. After serving in the Royal Air Force, he moved to London and worked as a lettering and general artist in print studios which produced artwork for major advertising agencies. In the mid-1950’s, he worked for a time at London’s Savoy Hotel as a wine order clerk. It was his good fortune that the wine and in-house print departments were run by the same manager, and he was asked to produce posters to promote performances of the Savoy Cabaret. For this work he devised a style of brush lettering based freely on the original Bodoni typeface.
Anna May Wong began her career in silent films and quickly came to the attention of Douglas Fairbanks, who cast her in a prominent role in The Thief of Baghdad. To escape type-casting after a series of concubine and slave girl roles, she went to Europe, where parts in film and on stage were better for the Chinese-American actress. Wong returned to the U. S. and continued to create strong portraits for directors Erich Von Stroheim, Nicholas Ray and Ross Hunter. Before passing away in Santa Monica, California in 1961, she appeared in numerous television shows and dramas, and was the first Chinese-American to star in her own series, The Gallery of Madame Liu-Tsong (1951).
